Kenton County Recycling Centers

Residential recycling in Kenton County has been made convenient by the addition of recycling bins located throughout the county. Residential recycling is a fast growing segment of NKY life and government. The following 3 recycling locations have been provided by the Kenton County Fiscal Court.

• Currently has 2 recycling bins on site
• Cardboard specific bins
• Items accepted in the bin are aluminum cans, paper, plastic and glass containers (Please remove all caps or lids and rinse.)
• No hazrdous materials or household cleaners (containers, bottles)
• Not presently accepted are wide-mouth containers such as margarine bowls or whipped topping containers; plastic flatware; cassette and compact disc cases; children's toys; oil jugs, plastic bags and plastic buckets.

Kenton County Monthly Clean Ups (Cancelled)

Kenton County has replaced the monthly clean-up events with a voucher system for residents. Your waste can be taken directly to Bavarian Landfill (12764 McCoy Fork Road, Walton, KY 41094) along with your voucher. The voucher system will allow the community to dispose of their waste at Bavarian Landfill, Monday - Saturday, during normal business hours.

To re-iterate, Kenton County has cancelled all monthly clean-up events.

Commercial Recycling Centers

Some commercial recycling centers will pay you for your scrap and others will take the item(s) off of your hands to see that it is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Sometimes a fee may be charged for items collected. Items collected also vary by the scrapper so if you are unsure please call before you go.

• An electronics recycling company for NKY businesses & residential. They offer pick up services for commercial recycling and residents are welcome to drop off old tech at their storefront.
